For the very first time, we’re offering our guests the opportunity to purchase a combined ticket for both Cobbold Gorge and the Undara Lava Tube Tours, in the form of the Savannah Way Adventure Pass. The Cobbold Gorge tour component of the pass is our award winning 3-hour guided tour, including a fabulous boat cruise along the gorge, plus walk to the escarpment above and over the amazing glass bridge. The Undara Lava Tubes Tour is a 3 hour guided tour, during which you will be driven into the Undara Volcanic National Park to explore 3 or more of the tunnels, including the showcase Arch Complex incorporating the Archway, Ewamian and Stephensons Tubes and another outreaching cave. Our experienced guides will share stories of the history and geology of the lava tubes.

Available for tours between 1 May – 31 October 2025, both of the Savannah Way Adventure Pass tours are self-drive to the tour starting point. For Cobbold Gorge, this is at Cobbold Village or via Forsayth. The departure point of the Undara Lava Tube tours is 10kms from the Savannah Way turnoff on Undara Road, and is clearly sign posted for your convenience. The tours must be completed within 7 days of each other. Tours times at each location vary.

Advance Bookings are essential. To book this package select your accommodation at Cobbold Village, then select the In-House Savannah Way Adventure Pass to book the time and date for your gorge tour. After your purchase is confirmed a friendly team member will contact you to book tour times and date for your Undara Lava Tubes tour. You should wear covered walking shoes, a sun smart hat, sunscreen and bring plenty of water, on both tours.

The Savannah Way Adventure Pass includes 2 family friendly tours. It provides the very best value for money, not only saving you up to $24pp, but allowing you to experience the Gulf Savannah’s ultimate destinations – Cobbold Gorge and the Undara Lava Tubes. The following conditions apply:

• Offer available 1 May – 31 October 2025.
• Bookings made at least 7 days prior to first tour date required.
• Not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.
• There is a walking component on both tours, on clearly marked dirt tracks and boardwalks. There are also some steps and staircases.
• You are required to wear covered walking shoes, a hat, sun safe clothing and sunscreen. Bring a large and full water bottle.
• Access to Cobbold Gorge and the Undara Lava Tubes is by guided tour only.
• Pre-bookings essential and tours are subject to availability.
• Cobbold Gorge and the Undara Lava Tubes are both located in the Etheridge Shire, a part of the Gulf Savannah, but are geographically separated by some 234km of road.
• The tours must be completed within 7 days of each other.
• The 2 Savannah Way Adventure Pass tours are self-drive to the tour starting points. For Cobbold Gorge, this is at Cobbold Village or via Forsayth. The departure point of the Undara Lava Tube tours is 10kms from the Savannah Way turnoff on Undara Road, and is clearly sign posted for your convenience. Transfers to and from the tubes and the gorge are provided and included in the rate.
• If you’re looking for somewhere to stay close to the departure point for the Undara Lava Tube tours, we recommend the Pinnarendi Station Stay & Cafe. Open seasonally, from late April until October, this property is locally owned and operated by the Atkinson family and is renowned for its spacious camping sites and awesome food and coffee – don’t miss their wood-fired sourdough based pizzas which you can dine in, takeaway or even grab one of ‘Last Nights Pizzas’ to take on the road with you. They have powered and unpowered sites and an amenity block. Pinnarendi Station Stay & Cafe is located at 22971 Kennedy Highway, Forty Mile, QLD, Australia, Queensland – which is a 41km – or 35 minute drive – from the departure point of the Undara Lava Tube tours.
