InterpretersSAVANNAH GUIDES

The Savannah Guides are the protectors and interpreters of the outback and Gulf Savannah. A network of professional tour guides with a collective in-depth knowledge of the natural and cultural assets of the tropical savannahs of northern Australia, North Queensland, Northern Territory and the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1988 as a not-for-profit organisation, Savannah Guides have received worldwide recognition, including a British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow award in 2000 and multiple Queensland and Northern Territory tourism awards. They provide:

  • Interpretation and Public Education
  • Training and Guiding Leadership
  • Natural and Cultural Resource Management

Mobile Savannah Guide operators and master operators conduct roving tours throughout the region. All Savannah Guides Enterprises must demonstrate a commitment to conservation values and incorporate natural or cultural interpretive activities, as a prominent part of their business. Look for the Savannah Guides logo when selecting your outback adventure in Northern Australia.
