Is Cobbold Gorge on your Bucket List – yet your travel itinerary is leaving you short of time, or you’re staying somewhere other than Cobbold Village?
You know you simply must visit Cobbold Gorge – it’s a natural wonder of Queensland’s outback savannah, and the youngest gorge in Australia. Tucked away within the rugged sandstone formations of a privately owned and operated cattle station, access is only by guided tour. This enables us to protect the pristine Nature Refuge and ensures that we can share interpretation on the formation of the gorge, as well as history of the region, its culture, flora and fauna. Our award-winning three-hour Cobbold Gorge Tour includes crossing Australia’s first fully glass bridge plus boat cruise along the gorge. Brilliant!
And if you’re not staying at Cobbold Village, you still have the chance to experience the fabulous Cobbold Gorge Tour – simply pop out here as a Day Visitor (and remember, bookings in advance are essential). You have two options:
Drive your own vehicle to Cobbold Village for the day so you can experience the amazing three-hour Cobbold Gorge Tour, then enjoy coffee, snacks or lunch at our MacDonalds Deck licensed Bar & Bistro before or after your tour, plus you’re more than welcome to refresh in our fabulous Infinity Pool (remember to pack your bathers and towel). What a fabulous day out!
Your Cobbold Day Visitor Gorge Tour (self drive) departs from Cobbold Village at 10am daily (April to September) and 1.30pm during peak times (June to September). October departures are at 8am (and 2.30pm when required).
